Voc Ed Learning Group National conference - Sydney
The 2010 Voc Ed Learning Group (VELG) National Conference will be held in Sydney on 5-6 August.
Themed Investing in VET = Succeeding in VET , the conference will feature presentations on key topics including the new national regulator, TAE 10 and the latest AQTF Conditions and Standards.
The conference program has been designed to incorporate both plenary sessions and a broad range of elective sessions. The elective sessions have been divided into two streams, specifically designed for:
- RTO Managers
- RTO Trainers and Assessors.
Key VET organisations will be represented and presenting, including DEEWR, NCVER, IBSA, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework and Skills Australia.
The conference will begin with Jennifer Taylor from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) looking at why continuously investing in staff development is so important to the success of the national training system.
Day two will features keynotes from VELG Director Michelle Weaver looking at the future of VELG and VETAB Director Margaret Willis discussing the impact of green skills on industry.
The conference will also feature an exhibition hall featuring exhibitors with latest products and services on the market.
All attendees will receive a CD featuring a copy of every presentation at the conference.
