Manufacturing Skills Australia conference - Brisbane

Australia's peak manufacturing industry training conference will be held in Brisbane on 18 August 2010.

Manufacturing Skills Australia, the national industry skills council for the manufacturing industries, will be hosting the conference to bring together manufacturing industry participants.

The theme of this year's conference is Growing for sustainability and will focus on current and future skills issues and developing workforce capabilities to grow business through sustainable practices in the manufacturing and automotive industries.

Guest speakers will include political leaders, manufacturing industry experts and vocational education and training specialists, ensuring a high level of interest amongst key representatives of the manufacturing sector and service providers.

The conference will also mark the presentation of the first Women at work - making a difference Study Award . The winner of the $5,000 study award will share their success story at 2010 National Conference and launch the new Women in Industry web pages.
