Energy Skills Queensland Conference - Brisbane
The only conference dedicated specifically to training for the Queensland energy industry will be held in Brisbane on 1 September 2010.
Hosted by Energy Skills Queensland, the conference will explore the theme Beyond the GFC: Developing Skills for an Energy and Resources Led Recovery and examine what the proposed level of infrastructure development for Queensland's energy sector will mean for the state's continuing skills development.
The 2010 conference will ensure whole-of-industry coverage with presenters discussing projects, opportunities and developments that are continuing to energise the industry, including the coal seam gas/liquefied natural gas, telecommunications and energy efficiency industries.
Last year's conference attracted more than 154 delegates from the electrotechnology, rail, electricity supply, generation, gas transmission and distribution sectors, as well as several representatives from government, apprenticeship services and registered training organisations.
