AgriFood national conference - Melbourne
The AgriFood National Conference will be held in Melbourne on Thursday 23 September 2010.
Hosted by AgriFood Skills Australia, the conference will bring together leading industry and government representatives to participate in a program focused on contemporary and future issues affecting agrifood, the economy, employment, training and workplace capacity.
The informative and interactive program is built around the critical importance of regional Australia. Australia 's Regions: Australia's Future focuses on AgriFood's successful employer and community-driven initiatives that seek to attract, develop and retain workers in regional communities.
The conference will also explore industry challenges and discuss findings from the AgriFood Skills Australia's Environmental Scan 2010: A perfect storm of shortages... are we ready?
The conference program will feature prominent speakers and interactive industry panels, with a particular focus on skill and workforce issues from each industry sector:
- food processing (including beverages, wine and pharmaceuticals),
- rural and related industries,
