WA high risk licence conversion dates

WA high risk licence conversion datesWorkSafe WA has released a reminder to licensees regarding the conversion of old licences to high risk work licences.

The following information specifies the dates when holders of Western Australian National O.H.S. Certification Australia Cards and people holding privately issued NOHSC: 7019 forklift will be required to convert to a high risk work licence: 

  • Certification Australia Cards issued from 1 July 1994 to 31 December 1995 and NOHSC: 7019 (1992) documentary evidence issued from 1 July 1994 to 31 December 1995 - 30 September 2008 (all unconverted tickets require reassessment)
     
  • Between 1 Jan 1996 - 31 Dec 1998 - 30 June 2009 (Please contact WorkSafe for more information)
     
  • Between 1 Jan 1999 - 31 Dec 2001 - 30 June 2010
     
  • Between 1 Jan 2002 - 31 Dec 2004 - 30 Jun 2011
     
  • Between 1 Jan2005 - 30 Sep 2007 - 30 Jun 2012

All unconverted tickets will require reassessment. It should also be noted that people operating forklifts with privately issued forklift tickets that do not note NOHSC: 7019 on them are currently in breach of Regulation 4.55 and should immediately cease operating and undergo training and assessment with WorkSafe registered assessors.

Additionally, WorkSafe WA is advising that all high risk work licences list the classes of licence held by the licence holder.

If the licence holder is qualified as a dogger or rigger their licence will show the highest qualification they have reached in dogging and rigging. For example anyone with a RA has achieved all classes from Dogging to Rigging Advanced.
