Standards Australia Prioritisation Guide now available
Standards Australia has finalised a Guide to the Project Prioritisation Process and Criteria to assist stakeholders in understanding the process and applying to have their project considered as a Standards Australia resourced Standards Development project.
The Guide will help support the fair and equitable selection of Standards-related activities and projects to be resourced by Standards Australia. It has been developed after considering more than 45 written submissions and numerous face to face comments from stakeholders at Councillor and Committee Chair briefing sessions around Australia over the past few months in relation to the Prioritisation Discussion Paper released in February 2010.
While Standards Australia has made every effort to consider, address and incorporate comments and suggestions received during the consultation period, some feedback was beyond the scope of this project. These comments will inform us as we continue our Standards Development and stakeholder liaison activities throughout 2010.
Stakeholders interested in submitting a project proposal as part of the Prioritisation and Selection Process are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the process by reading the Prioritisation Guide. A revised Pathways Guide is also available, providing guidance on the Standards Development pathways offered by Standards Australia.
Stakeholders who may have already submitted a proposal but wish to amend it after reading the new Prioritisation Guide are able to do so. Amended proposals are to be submitted to Standards Australia by Tuesday 15 June 2010.
Submissions in the first round of Standards Australia's new Prioritisation and Selection Process for Standards Australia resourced Standards Development projects are to be received by Tuesday 15 June 2010.
Stakeholders wishing to submit a proposal for consideration under the Prioritisation and Selection Process are to complete and submit Project Proposal Forms to Standards Australia by this date.
It is important for proposals to demonstrate broad-based evidence of support for projects in the form of letters or emails from Committee members, Nominating
