QLD VET practitioners skills workshops - Brisbane
The Queensland Department of Education and Training is holding two workshops on the development of the skills of VET practitioners.
In 2009 as a VET Futures initiative Mitchell and Ward undertook a National environmental scan and stocktake of professional learning strategies, resources and networks focussed on building VET practitioner skills in assessment. The report highlighted the need for capability development given the changing context of assessment.
These free workshops will examine the implications of the consequent Mitchell and Ward 2010 study, The JMA Analytics Model of VET Capability Development.
Workshop 1 - for VET planners and senior managers:
Using a new strategic model for capability development of VET practitioners - Wednesday 16th June 2010
Workshop 1 will provide participants with a model of VET professional practice and capability development to support professional development planning and implementation
Workshop 2 - for teachers trainers and assessors:
How to become and excel as a specialist and advanced VET practitioner - Thursday 17th June 2010
Workshop 2 will assist participants to develop a clear understanding the skills required of specialist and/or advanced VET practitioners and identify pathways for future professional development.
