VET research conference

The 2010 Australian Vocational Education and Training Research Association (AVETRA) Conference will be held on the Gold Coast on 8-9 April.

The conference will seek to explore the way in which VET research can lead or respond in turbulent times. The two day conference will feature two international and three Australian keynote speakers, some symposia, over 70 papers and a series of networking events. Topics to be discussed at the conference include:

  • VET as an agent of change: Curriculum, teaching and learning
  • VET policy leadership in turbulent times
  • Leading and/or responding in turbulent times: VET institution and management practices
  • Change and transformations in VET: Perspectives on turbulent times
  • Beyond turbulence: other issues and perspectives.
