Community Services and Health Competency Matrix

A new online tool has been released by the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council for those looking to connect the dots between qualifications, units of competency, skill sets and job roles from within the Community Services and Health Training Packages.

The Competency Matrix allows users who are not familiar with Training Packages to connect with the content through the use of familiar terminology around work function and job roles as the entry point rather than qualification codes and titles.

The Competency Matrix also contains detailed information on skill sets to assist in their appropriate use by employers and industry to build upon the existing skills and knowledge of qualified workers into expanded work roles or services.

The Competency Matrix also includes a common unit tool which allows users to explore and organise units of competency into lists for your own reference or potential use in workforce development activities. These lists can be edited, saved and referenced at a later date and a large number of the units of competence from the HLT07 and CHC08 Training Packages can be accessed and downloaded from here.
