Training Products Australia is the new face of training resources

In recognition of the importance of high quality teaching and learning resources, this year TVET Australia will launch Training Products Australia (TPA).

TPA will be the new face of training resources for RTOs and will support them through the provision of more than 25,000 teaching and learning resources.

TVET Australia has agreements in place with over 30 separate resource developers. These, together with over 3500 Commonwealth resources, 1600 state based resources and the 6700 resources in TPA catalogue will form an integral point for trainers and assessors to access high quality teaching and learning resources.

In a recent survey, 99% of respondents identified learning resources as being 'important' or 'very important' in the provision of high quality training.

Later this year, TPA will be launching an online collaborative workspace for trainers and assessors to discuss with experts and with each other a range of issues related to the development and use of resources, as well as changes to training packages and new qualifications.

The aim is to facilitate professional, peer-based learning on issues directly affecting trainers and assessors including:

  • delivery
  • assessment
  • compliance
  • continuous improvement.

In addition, as part of the commitment to the currency of its resources, TPA will begin a major refresh of its existing resources and identifying high quality resource developers to partner with TVET Australia in the provision of quality teaching and assessment materials.
