Electrotechnology career start qualifications

EE-Oz Training Standard Australia has developed two targeted entry level qualifications to help meet the surge interest in renewable and sustainable energy and the increased demand for skilled people in the energy sector.

These qualifications establish some of the basic skills required before taking on an industry specialisation such as electronics, distribution lineworker, refrigeration or renewable energy.

Participants in the course have the opportunity to experience a range of work activities, equipment, methods and materials used in electrical and sustainable/renewable energy sectors.

The qualifications have been designed to provide a minimum of three units towards the completion of any Certificate III level qualification from the UEE07 and UET09 Training Packages.

Approximately 45 Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are registered to deliver the Electrotechnology Career Start qualifications across most Australian states and territories.

To find an RTO delivering the qualification, visit the National Training Information Service website at www.ntis.gov.au and search for 'Career Start'.
