Forklift safety alert

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has issued a safety alert on safe forklift operation.

The purpose of the safety alert is to remind employers and forklift operators of the need to operate forklifts in a safe manner. A recent fatality in Queensland has highlighted the need for employers and operators to ensure forklifts operations and processes meet best practice.

The alert lists key processes and actions that employers and operators need to undertake when operating a forklift.

The alert also reminds people of the current training and licensing requirements to operate a forklift in Queensland.
