Licence registers go online in Qld

Consumers and businesses in Queensland are now able to do simple online licence checks to find out if their real estate agent, motor dealer, security provider or commercial agent is properly licensed.

The free search tool links to licences listed under the following Acts:

  • Introduction Agents Act 2001
  • Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000
  • Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 2003
  • Security Providers Act 1993
  • Tourism Services Act 2003
  • Travel Agents Act 1988.

The information is an extract of current licensees from the register maintained under each of the above Acts. It is updated daily and provides only details of the licence number, licence holder, licence type and expiry date.

In some instances, where a renewal has been lodged and not yet processed by this Office, the licence may appear to have expired. If the licensee appears on this list, their licence is deemed to be current.
