High risk forklift licence learning materials

New learning Materials for forklift driversEasy Guides Australia has created a new set of learning materials to support the delivery of the new unit of competency TLILIC108A Licence to operate a forklift truck.

These Training Package support materials have been Noted by the National Quality Council (NQC).

The Easy Guides Start Up Pack will assist in providing employers, learners, trainers, assessors and RTOs with support materials that help meet the formal requirements of the Training Package containing the licence unit.

The pack includes:

  • 1 x Forklift Information Book
  • 1 x Forklift Learner Workbook
  • 1 x Forklift Trainer's Handbook
  • 1 x Forklift PowerPoint Presentation
  • 1 x Forklift Trainer's Resource CD

Forklift Information Book
The Information Book is organised to match the elements and performance criteria in the new Unit of Competency. This book is easy to use and with its basic English principals and illustrations, will especially assist those with low levels of literacy.

Learner Workbook
The Learner Workbook contains theory and practical training tasks for the learner to complete and should be used in conjunction with the Information Book. The Workbook provides evidence of one form of learning, taking the learner towards achieving competency. All tasks are mapped to the Unit of Competency elements and performance criteria.

Trainer's Handbook
The Trainer's Handbook mirrors the Learner Workbook and includes all the answers to the theory tasks. Also includes training ideas.

PowerPoint Presentation
Our new PowerPoint Presentation includes full colour, animated images in an easy to navigate layout. Covers all the Elements - Plan Work, Conduct Routine Checks, Shift Load, Shut Down and Secure Forklift Truck, includes related topic links and has a Review Questions section which matches the handout from the Trainer's Resource CD.

Trainer's Resource CD
The Trainer's Resource CD includes:

  • review questions
  • practical tasks
  • forms including: feedback, lesson plan, record of training, JSA, SWMS, accident report form, MSDS
  • national standard for licensing persons performing high risk work
  • Unit of Competency TLILIC108A - Licence to operate forklift truck
