Good practice guide to assist international education providers
The Minister of Education, Julia Gillard has announced the release of a good practice guide for training providers delivering to international students.
Available on the Australian Education International website, the guide features numerous examples of good practice set by VET providers and universities across Australia who assist international students to integrate with Australian students and the wider community.
The good practice guide was announced at the International Student Roundtable recently held in Canberra, which addressed issues such as pre-arrival information and visas, the quality of education, access to services, social integration, fair treatment and the cost of international education.
Also announced at the Roundtable was the creation of a hotline (1300 363 079) where students can raise their concerns anonymously.
