Construction training resource centre
![]()
A resource centre has been developed to support the delivery of training package qualifications in the construction and property services industries.
The Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council began work on its Resource Centre in 2008 which contains a resource database and User Guides.
The Resource Centre is closely aligned to each Training Package and will provide a conduit to more detailed implementation strategies. Initial development work has included developing a framework so the resources can be divided into areas for RTOs, employers, learners and job seekers.
The User Guides contain information and advice on using the Training Packages, adapting current training and assessment materials, matching competencies with job roles and tasks, and customising the qualifications packaging and units of competency. User Guides are being developed for CPP07, CPC08 and the redeveloped Asset Maintenance sector.
There are clear links to existing resources and in 2009/2010 CPSISC will be developing a network that will bring together RTOs and training and HR managers from enterprises to encourage discussion around learning and assessment practices related to the Packages.
Work will continue to add to the Resource Centre and User Guides over the next two years, refine the information, build on shared resource databases, and include more links to relevant information.
