Website guides training in Indigenous communities
Services Skills Australia has released the Road Map to Country website.
The website is designed as a resource to be used by Indigenous communities, training providers and enterprise development stakeholders to encourage training of Indigenous Australians on Country.
Roadmap tells the story of the Service Skills Australia project which was conducted with the remote Queensland Communities of Doomadgee in the Lower Gulf of Carpentaria and Kubin on the Torres Strait Island of Moa, to deliver training related to Tourism and Enterprise on Country.
The website is broken into three sections. The first section gives an overview of the Roadmap project. The other two sections give practical advice on training in Indigenous communities and delivering training to Indigenous students.
