Info session on ACT Work Safety Act - Canberra

The Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) and the Office of the ACT OHS Commissioner are holding an information session on 10 September for local businesses on the new Work Safety Act.

The information session will prepare businesses for when the Work Safety Act takes effect from 1 October 2009. The information session will:

  • provide an overview of the new Work Safety Act
  • cover the major points of difference between the existing OHS Act 1989 and the new Work Safety Act 2008
  • look at business responsibilities under the new health and safety legislation.

The information session is free, but bookings are essential.
