G BookmarksTAFE in rural and isolated communities conference - Port Lincoln
The 2009 TAFE in Rural and Isolated Communities (TRIC) Conference will be held from 5-7 August in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
The conference invites individuals representing TAFE, industry, education, regional development and broader VET sector organisations to attend the conference.
This year the conference theme will be 'Navigating the waves of change'. This theme will be explored through the sub-themes of:
- the big picture: Global 'schools' of thought
- being regional: 'Hooking' into innovative solutions; and
- sustainability: Balancing the 'scales'.
The conference features a number of keynote speakers discussing issues impacting on vocational education and training in the context of regional and remote Australia.
In addition to the formal program, the conference will feature a package of informal learning experiences and networking sessions.
