Manufacturing Skills Australia conference - Adelaide
Manufacturing Skills Australia is hosting its 4th annual conference in Adelaide on Thursday 3 September.
The theme for the conference is 'SustainABILITY - Skills - develop your future!' The focus will be on:
- how to sustain a manufacturing industry in Australia
- how our manufacturing industry can support environmental sustainability
- 'green' skills.
It is expected that close to 200 national delegates will attend the 2009 conference, including enterprise decision makers, key stakeholders of the manufacturing industry associations, unions, and training providers.
The three main themes for the conference are:
- sustainability
- workforce development
- opportunities arising from the Global Financial Crisis.
Keynote speakers will include senior industry figures, key government officials as well as people from high profile innovative companies and training organisations.
Speakers will share their knowledge and experiences:
- about the latest technology development and innovation in Manufacturing
- case studies on their experiences in workforce development
- recognising and building skills and growing the green collar economy.
