Service Skills Australia wants to hear from Australian workers
Service Skills Australia is calling for workers in the service industries to participate in a survey and contribute to the future direction of accredited training for the service industries in Australia.
In 2008, Service Skills Australia conducted an online survey in which 90% of respondents stated that their business provides on-the-job training.
But do employers and workers have different views on what training really means? Service Skills is seeking to answer this question, and explore how workers benefit from training.
The survey will provide information to the service industries about the value and uptake of on-the-job training and the awareness of accredited qualifications and certificates.
Workers in beauty, hospitality, events, funeral services, tourism, sport, fitness and recreation, hairdressing, holiday parks and resorts, floristry, community pharmacy, wholesale and retail are encouraged to participate.
The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Participants have the chance to go in the draw to win a $250 gift voucher.
