Fact sheet for Victorian licensed plumbers

The Victorian Plumbing Industry Commission has released a fact sheet on how licensed and registered plumbing practitioners will be affected by new amendments to the Building Act 1993 which came into effect on 1 January 2009.

The fact sheet details:

  • a new definition of 'complete' for the issuing of a Compliance Certificate for plumbing work
  • the raising of the maximum monetary penalty raised
  • clarification of the meaning of 'supervision'.
