COAG reform agenda implementation report released


The Council of Australian Governments (COAG)considered the Reform Council�s 2009 Report on Implementation of the National Reform Agenda at its meeting in Hobart on 30 April 2009.

The Report provides a snapshot of progress against the seven reforms referred to the COAG Reform Council in April 2007 as well as following up on the recommendations in the Council�s 2008 Report.

The reform areas are:

  • electricity smart meters
  • energy market reforms
  • transport pricing reforms
  • rail safety regulation
  • national trade measurement
  • building regulation reform
  • infrastructure regulation.
