Property agent and land transport mutual recognition

The COAG National Licensing Taskforce is advising that the Property Agents and Land Transport Ministerial Declaration has been signed off by all jurisdictions.

This Ministerial Declaration (PDF, 385kb) will facilitate mutual recognition of licensing across all jurisdictions in the areas of property agents and land transport.

The Declaration has been registered on ComLaw - Federal Register of Legislative Instruments as of Monday 23 March 2009 and gazetted as of Wednesday 25 March 2009. This declaration is now law under S32 of the Mutual Recognition Act 1992.

The Licence Recognition website has been updated to reflect the following seven schedules included as part of the Ministerial Declaration:

  • Driving Instructors
  • Drivers Transporting Bulk Dangerous Goods and Explosives
  • Miscellaneous Licences (Pilot and Escort Vehicle Drivers)
  • Passenger Vehicle Drivers
  • Property Agents
  • Valuers
  • Conveyancers.
