Community Services Training Package implementation forums - National

The Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council will be facilitating a series of one-day Forums to support the implementation of the new CHC08 Community Services Training Package.

Implementation forums will be held in all cities across Australia on dates in February and March.

The key outcomes from the forums include:

  • finding out about major changes and shifts since the CHC02 Training Package and gain an industry perspective on best practice implementation
  • understanding new developments and approaches in terminology, structure and application of the qualifications and competencies
  • learning about skills sets developed by industry to promote lateral movement and multi-skilling of the workforce, and how they should be implemented
  • attaining an industry-informed understanding of specific areas of the training package through individual workshops on:
    • individual client services
    • community services and development
    • children's and youth services
    • client services including community coordination and management
    • chronic disease and self management
    • Skill Sets.

Facilitators will provide significant insight into the training package as it relates to each state or territory and the community services and health workforce as a whole.
