Accredited course development guide released
A new CD resource has been released to help vocational education and training (VET) course developers and potential course developers to create Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) compliant nationally accredited courses.
Launched by the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA), A guide to course accreditation for VET � a resource for course developers has been developed in partnership with industry and provides simple, step-by-step instructions and examples.
The CD takes an explanatory approach to the accredited course development process by going through each section of the national accredited course template.
Along with the �how to� section, the CD also features case studies, resources, a glossary and a section with contact details for course accrediting bodies in each state and territory.
A unique feature of the CD is the �evidence portfolio� section which explains how course developers may be able to demonstrate recognition of prior learning in regards to certain units of competency from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104).
