New National Transport Commission website
The National Transport Commission (NTC) has rolled out a new website to assist stakeholders in finding information about national reforms quickly and easily.
Chief Executive Nick Dimopoulos said NTC had identified several areas of the old website that could be improved.
'The new website improves transparency of the national reform process by ensuring up-to-date information is only a few clicks away,' Mr Dimopoulos says.
'Useful new features include user-friendly navigation menus and the ability to scan across NTC projects by name. The website also provides search functions for reports and publications.'
The website has been restructured to align with the National Transport Policy, with five key areas; Transport Efficiency and Supply Chain Review, Environment and Climate Change, Safety and Compliance, National Transport Policy and News and Publications. Road, rail and intermodal sections are now rolled into one.
'The old modal silos of the past are disappearing, so they had no place in our website,' Mr Dimopoulos says. 'The restructure underpins a long-term commitment to the new reform agenda.'
NTC's website also features up-to-date information on the nine National Transport Policy working groups, led by Australia's Transport Ministers.
