New resources and infrastructure skill sets under development
SkillsDMC, the national industry skills council for the resources and infrastructure sectors, is proposing to include a series of Skill Sets in the new Resources and Infrastructure Training Package, which is currently under development.
The proposed Skill Sets are being developed to meet a number of requirements including some related to occupational health and safety, regulation and licensing.
The proposed Skills Sets include:
- Leading Hand
- Rouseabout Off Shore Oil and Gas
- Leasehand On Shore Oil and Gas
- Underground Ventilation
- Site Safety Coordinator
- Repair and Maintenance of Off-Road Vehicle Wheels and Tyres
- Monitoring Heavy Vehicle Operations
- Surface Shotfiring
- Underground Shotfiring
- Mine Mechanical Engineering
- Mine Electrical Engineering
- Mine Surveying
- Mine Electrical Engineering Management
- Mine Mechanical Engineering Management
- Trainee Driller
