NSW creates online VET resource centre
A website developed by the New South Wales (NSW) Department of Education and Training is assisting vocational education and training professionals to meet the requirements of national Training Packages and qualifications by linking them to more than 15,000 training, assessment and professional development resources.
SkillsOnline.net.au provides registered training organisations, teachers, trainers, workplace supervisors, enterprises, industry associations, learners and individuals with a central source of training materials that support best practice delivery of vocational skills across a range of industries.
SkillsOnline comprises an extensive catalogue of training, assessment materials and professional development that are customisable allowing value-adding to industry training through leading edge, high quality materials.
The materials on the site are aligned to competency standards and qualifications within the Australian Qualifications Framework and comply with and reflect national Training Packages requirements. Since 2003 all resources have been 'noted' by the National Training Council as being compliant with the Australian Quality Training Framework.
SkillsOnline also contains accredited courses, curricula and modules to give you an outline of competency standard requirements and delivery.
All resources have been produced by training experts using funding provided by the NSW Department of Education and Training.
Resources on the site are for sale at minimal cost, and some materials on the website are free.
