Queensland has introduced a new Code of Practice to assist people manage health and safety risks posed by traffic to workers and other persons while construction or maintenance work is occurring on, or adjacent to, roads.
The Code of Practice for Traffic Management for Construction or Maintenance Work, which will commence on 1 September 2008, will enhance road worker safety through the identification and subsequent mitigation of specific hazards associated with working on, or adjacent to, roads in relation to construction work.
