Comment sought on electrical licensing regulations in Tasmania


Workplace Standards Tasmania is seeking comment on the draft regulations and codes of practice for occupational licensing of electrical work in Tasmania.

Stakeholders are invited to comment on each of the following documents in the electrical regulatory package:

  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Electrical Work) Regulations 2008
  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Electrical Work) Code of Practice
  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Electrical Work) Determination 2008
  • Draft General Insurance Notice 2008
  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Exemption of Inspection, Erection and Staking Work of Poles, Towers and Structures) Order 2008
  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Classification of Electrical Work and Defective Electrical Work) Determination 2008
  • Draft Occupational Licensing (Fit and Proper) Code of Practice 2008.

The closing date for comments is 5pm Friday 29 August 2008.
