Workforce development tool released



The National Industry Skills Committee (NISC) has released a web-based tool to assist employers and enterprises in identifying and proactively addressing their future workforce skill requirements.

The Online Workforce Development Starter Tool comprises a series of dynamic and interactive screens, which enable the user to enter basic information about their organisation to receive summary details about potential factors impacting on their workforce.

The user can review future forecasts and issues pertinent to their business and workforce as well as generate a customized report, specific to their business.

The Online Workforce Development Starter Tool is an integrated package which also includes two useful NISC resource documents:

  • An Environmental Scan of Trends and Developments Impacting on the Australian Workforce

This web-linked document provides a comprehensive, yet concise overview of critical workforce issues at the global, national and state/territory levels. Links to relevant websites, data sources, articles and publications have been included should readers wish to obtain more detailed information.
