TAA Training Package update

The Training and Assessment Training Package, the package which outlines the skills and competencies required by vocational education and training teachers and trainers, has been updated.

Three enhancements have been made and included:

  • minor changes to the assessment guidelines, changes to three units of competency and the development of three skills sets.
  • The following three units of competency were changed:
    • Provide Training Through Instruction and Demonstration of Work Skills (TAADEL301C)-coaching skills added to Performance Criteria and Range Statement
    • Plan and Organise Assessment (TAAASS401C)-recognition of prior learning added to Elements, Performance Criteria and Range Statement
    • Assess Competence (TAAASS402C)-recognition of prior learning added to Elements, Performance Criteria and Range Statement.
  • The following three skills sets are now available in the Training and Assessment Training Package:
    • Assessor
    • Enterprise Trainer
    • Enterprise Trainer and Assessor

The current package is now TAA04 Version 2.1 and has been endorsed by the National Quality Council and is available for purchase through Innovation and Business Skills Australia (IBSA).

Although the latest version of the package is not yet available on the Nation Training Information Service, registered training organisations interested are able to pre-order copies through the IBSA Bookshop.
