Review to look at future of higher education in Australia

A discussion paper on the review of Australian higher education is now available for comment, with all interested parties urged to participate.

The review, being under taken by Emeritus Professor Denise Bradley AC (Chair), Mr Peter Noonan, Dr Helen Nugent AO and Mr Bill Scales AO, is the first major review of higher education since 2002.

The Bradley Review will ensure that higher education is a key part of an innovative and productive Australia over the coming decade.

The discussion paper provides an opportunity for stakeholders from all sectors - business, industry, community groups, education and individuals; to comment on the role of higher education and how it can best meet the future needs of the Australian community and economy.

Feedback is sought on a number of issues outlined in the discussion paper including social inclusion, resourcing, the student experience and links with industry and the vocational education sector.

Submissions close 31 July 2008.
