Comments sought on new combined Agri-Food Training Package

The Agri-Food Industry Skills Council is undertaking a project to merge the Rural Production (RTE03), Amenity Horticulture (RTF03) and Conservation and Land Management (RTD03) Training Packages into a single training package.

The industry skills council is currently undertaking consultation with interested stakeholders including relevant licensing and regulatory authorities and registered training organisations on draft qualifications and the new standards.

The Council has advised that drafts of 21 new competency standards and six upgraded competency standards are now available on the Agri-Food website. These new and upgraded standards extend the existing pool of standards made available within the package.

The new standards are the result of specific project activities to address gaps in the training packages and to improve existing standards within the merged package.
