New website for electrocomms and energyA new website, www.ee-careers.com.au, provides a single source of information about careers in the electricity, electrotechnology, communications and gas industries.

EE-Oz Training Standards developed the site as part of a comprehensive whole of industry approach to encourage people into the industry.  It is a reference point for information about the industry for potential apprentices and trainees, existing workers seeking to upskill, and overseas qualified tradespeople who are interested in working in Australia.

The website features links to relevant state and federal government websites, Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) information, and resources developed by EE-Oz Training Standards to assist jobseekers and employers. 

The site also features:

  • a qualifications finder which assists apprentices, employers and Australian Apprenticeship Centres in choosing the correct qualification
  • an online pre-apprenticeship test
  • the 'Algebra Equals' online tutorial which provides a foundation in algebra skills specifically for the electrotechnology industry.
