Racing industry literacy resource

Among the many resources available via the site is an online resource that embeds literacy learning into the Certificate II in Racing, for jockeys and stablehands. These online materials can be used by instructors in the racing industry in conjunction with other industry specific materials, to encourage and support learners to improve their reading and writing skills along with their skills in racing.

Each of the 5 topics in the resource contribute to the skills required in five of the seven elements on the Unit of Competency RGRH208A "Work effectively in the thoroughbred or standardbred code of the racing industry".

The resource is available free on the website www.staff.vu.edu.au/racing  If a CD copy is requested, a cost recovery price and postage wil be charged.
