Consultations on draft report Road to transition - Improved pathways for operator certification

As a result of the feedback received from the consultation phase, a final report has been developed. The report has been presented to the final meeting of the transition working group in April for consideration.

The report highlights a transition model which is being considered with some stakeholder groups. Information received from this process will also be presented to the transition working group at the final meeting in April.

The final report will be presented to the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission and the Australian National Training Authority for consideration and determination.

Short course in self erecting tower cranes

The course development advisory committee has been convened to develop a short course in self erecting tower cranes.

The committee has met twice to discuss and provide expert advice on the development process and the course content.

As a result of the feedback received from committee members, a unit of competency and course preamble have been developed. These documents have been circulated to committee members for comment, and to assist in obtaining additional stakeholder feedback.
