Asset Security (PRS03): Certificate II in Security (Operations)

A new certificate II qualification - PRS 20103 - from the Asset Security Training Package, will be the recognised training program for security guards is proposed.

The new qualification will be the prerequisite for people seeking a security guarding licence through the Office of Fair Trading, the Queensland industry licensing body.

The Certificate II in Security (Operations) will supersede the Certificate II in Security (Guarding) - PRS 20198 - from the old package.

The Office of Fair Trading will grant a licence until December 2005 to those who hold the old qualification.
